HELP PLEASE GOOSE WEEZING BLOOD COME N OUT OF MOUTH

MAJOR BUMP!

Your goose might have hurt her spinal cord, or have hit her head very badly. Our geese have done this by fighting. We had one: she was fighting, got her head hit super hard against wall, took her to bet IMMEDIATELY! The other one who's spinal cord got hurt got taken to the bet also. This one is more severe, there spinal cord is a life or death sentence. She could have neurotic issues of she hit her head!

How is she doing now?

She pm'd me to say that her goose died.... sadly all it's upper teeth were ripped out and that is where the bleeding was coming from. She had great support from CelticOaksFarm but the injury was extremely bad.

She stated that it was the teeth ...... my geese don't have teeth either .... guess it was her expression of the damage. My geese have razor sharp beaks as my backside has testified in the past!

I was so hopin' somebody'd be able to come up w/ solutions, but ... couldn't personally begin to even think of how to approach such an injury as this appears to have been. And, from the description, I didn't imagine there was much time left to control the bleeding, as it sounded like she was already on her way to restin' for a longer while.

Sorry for your loss, and the timing as well ...

Yes the next day she died on me... After I posted I contacted Celtic, we went through a few things and then I went back out to check her to make sure there was nothing lodged in her throat that would cause the bleeding. Looking in her mouth that is when I noticed what I called the teeth (which I know that they are not called teeth, but was easier to relate to which part I was talking about

) 1/2 inch of that part of her mouth was gone and that was where the bleeding was coming from. I separated her for the rest of the flock in a pen, but still next to the flock to ensure no stress for her, put some save-a-chick in a heated water bowl, and soaked some all-flock and scrambled eggs and put that in there with a bed of straw. She didn't eat or drink the first night , so I contacted Celtic again for suggestions. Finally late morning she was drinking but not eating still...

Concerned still contacted Celtic again... left to go to family function, came back 3hrs later...and she was a goner.. I never did find what she got it caught on or chewed on...I don't believe it was an animal encounter but I will never know...

Thank you for all the help and suggestions, it was all appreciated..
