Awesome! Thank you for explaining how to bandage properly. If you read a few posts down from the one you quoted, you'll see that we and another member had a sort discussion on the benefits of wrapping properly vs. accidentally wrapping improperly since I'm not educated on how to do so. She is doing good. She has been eating and drinking like a camp! We took bandage off to clean again and let her be on a clean towel to air out/dry b4 wrapping again. She was walking around and nibbling At things. I think those are pin feathers and not bones?How's your little one doing? Has she perked up at all? Wound look alright?
Also I didn't notice this right away but if you look at the first picture there appears to be quite a bit of bone from the wing jutting out. That will be a big source of infection. She likely needs this amputated
So great to hear she's active! Also yeah, I wasn't 100% sure but wanted to point it out just in case any of us here missed it. It's difficult to see in the first few pictures because of all the blood.
Great! Just make sure you clean it very well when the cast falls off.Bandage fell off sometime last night and she got out of her makeshift towel bed we set up in kids bathroom. She is doing way better then I would have guessed!
