Help Please! Is this Brahma Pullet or Cockrell

One thing I learned about Brahmas, is males feather out extra slower then females. Males will still have patches of down while females will be almost feathered out.

Sexing by comb size, & color isn't reliable, females can have wide, pink combs at a few weeks old, so does the males.

That's not really reliable either. My first flock was 5 brahmas and a BJG. The brahmas feathered out all over the place; some fast, some slow. I was so paranoid that I had half cockerels that I ordered 6 more chicks from Meyer. I ended up with 12 pullets. Lucky me, but brahmas can't be sexed by feather sexing, or how fast they feather out.

I was talking about feathering out in general.

Weird. Eventually there maybe a way to tell gender.

That makes me feel much better. I noticed when I went back into the farm store the Brahmas from this same batch had probably 60% with really long wing feathers and 40% short wings, so then I was like either there's a lot of roosters in there or you just can't tell by that. I was thinking of switching this one out for one with longer feathers, but I have my babies all tamed so well, I didn't want to lose that 10 days of bonding. I honestly love this one it's such a cool laid back little baby.

Just be patient. Hatcheries are pretty good about vent sexing, 90%... so there's a possibility that a cockerel can sneak in, but still the odds are in your favor for pullets.

Hello! Yes I can, so I will probably give him a try. Every time I get chicks I have one. I always give them a few months, but they get mean and I get scared of them. I've heard Brahmas are sweet so I'm hoping this one is..
ALL of them? wow... do you spend time with them? That might help!
