Update on Grockle - he's looking good! We finished the meds and he is a lot more stable on his feet. He's taken to giving me a good biting when I give him his drugs in protest so I think he's feeling better. Took the plunge this morning and let him back out with the flock and he jumped straight onto one of my girls!! Then had a good bath in the pond and took back over his reign of supremacy over everyone. Saying a big prayer that he's over this now. Thanks everyone for support!

Closing this one down now all - and with a happy ending. Grockle is doing great - running around the flock and terrorising the girls as his usual self. Looking good. Thanks for all of the support everyone . For info if anyone follows this thread in the future - stick with the antibiotics and painkillers for much longer than you think before you give up!!!
