HELP PLEASE...my Khaki C. swallowed a nylon knee-high stocking!!!

my girl is home!! she's doing ok, still very sleepy from anaesthetic & thisty so making sure there is plenty of water for her. She just seemed to settle right down the moment she got home, content. She looks funny where she's been cut open as feathers missing & crop area was cut. Need to take her back for checkup next week but need to keep eye on wound for any swelling or discharge. Really hoping for a speedy recovery for her as we are due to fly out to Bali in 8 days....not good timing at all

will just have to make sure my in-laws keep a very close eye on her while we are away. So very pleased to have her back home with me, missed her terribly last night. Oh, & they did give me her egg too & tried to give me the stocking back but quickly declined on that one. Will be giving her lots of love & attention over the next few days.

I just read your story. Wow what a scare! I am too stupid to go straight to the end and see how it turned out, so I rode all the ups and downs along the way... WHEW! I am glad the prognosis looks good. My prayers are with her for a speedy and complete recovery. And of course the usual suspects were there to help out along the way. You are such a great group!

It might just be the site, sometimes it can be persnickety when someone tries to upload photos through their mobile. She's a cutie! Is she a house duck? I just kind of assumed she was but I realized I never asked outright.

she's half/half amykins....has her penned area out back where she sleeps/swims/& stays through the day when we're at work, but when we're home she just roams around the backyard & comes in & out of the house when she pleases (have timber floors so not such an issue with the poop!) & I nearly always have her in for a couple of hours at night before I put her out to bed...needless to say, she thinks she rules the house!!















I finally got some downloaded from laptop! there is a roof completely covering the pen now, so she is completely safe when in there, some pics from baby til now.
