Help please, new to this and chickens keep dying!!! :-(

There are many vaccinations available, so when the owner says they were vaccinated, I would ask for what? Most people will get a Mareks vaccine at a hatchery if it is available, but there is coccidiosis, and many others available that most people don't get or know about. They cost money for each one so a breeder probably wouldn't vaccinate unless they have a disease on their property.

Thanks for the info. Is starting to sound like it is fowl pox. Owner away atm & not sure till when. Will keep calling till find out what indeed they have been vaccinated against. In a way it would be good if that is it as at least would know the cause & how to treat/deal with the issue. Has been hard as decided to get the choiks as pets first and formost & kids can't understand why birds keep disappearing. Getting quite attached to the chicks too so do you think it would be advisable to separate from pullets again back into brooder box until we know exactly what it is. Or in case of fowl pox now that they have slept in same area as others for a few nights would it already be too late? Actually if one that died here did have it would the area now be contaminated anyway?
