Ok this morning i caught a dog with a goose egg on hatch (that was under the mother goose), he broke one of the eggs. I quickly stopped him and checked the egg, the goosling was alive! I braught it inside and turned on the incubator. I checked and saw that the Yolk Sack was still attached. Its been 12 hours and he still seems to be fine. Just wonderin is there anything else i can do???

Maybe check out the "hands on hatchign" post? I would think you needed to keep it very warm like an incubator, and very damp, so that he could possibly finish absorbing on his own, if that is even possible? Do you have access to an incubator? Otherwise maybe with damp paper towels and a heating pad under a box or something similar to keep it warm?

Is the chick still in the egg?

Yes. About half of the shell is missing. It looked as though a sharp point in the egg shell could have pierced him so i removed some more, but its still in the egg position.

Little goose is now out of the shell. The yoke sack was gone but still attached to a piece of the shell. I was really concerned as he kicked it off and it started to bleed! I then turned him onto his back and used heat to stop the bleed and dabbed it with tea tree oil and cotton. Thankfully the little goose is going strong! So far so good.
