Help please...

This 4 year old hen has seemed to have respiratory issues for about 2 weeks. Today I saw that her mouth looks like this. Please help!

Great job checking inside her mouth! I believe that is canker. If memory serves me, I think that’s a protozoa, but forget the treatment. Maybe sulfa drugs... hang tight and I’ll try to find it.

You could definitely treat with acidified copper sulfate in the drinking water, which wouldn’t be a bad idea since it’s contagious.

I’ll look around and see what I can find, but someone else may provide info first.

Metronidazole is what you need, I believe.
