HELP!! (Please)

I bought a cheap chinese one off ebay (but from a UK seller) and it was falsely advertised, was missing the sponge to wet for humidity so I had to make my own, and both times I had half my chicks shrink wrapped

Oh no!! did they survive? Can they survive if shrink wrapped? Xx

They need assistance if they get shrink wrapped. I saved one of mine like that. She's thriving.

I saved four of them, but the others were gone. I think I couldve saved them if I got there sooner but i‘m not massively experienced with incubating, and you never know if you’re gunna do more harm than good. One chick was still breathing as I opened the membrane. Then there was nothing so it literally took it’s last breath a moment too soon

I hope people dont get funny about this but the dead chicks didnt go to waste. My cats are raw fed and love a day old chick as treat. They were already dead anyway, so I might as well find a use for them. I think they loved how fresh and still warm they were. Only thing is I forgot to close the living room door and one cat took one in and got yolk all on the carpet :| not fun to clean up lol.

That’s awesome! One of my eggs was in the fridge for a week before I decided to incubate, then she got stuck on hatch day and needed assistance. Now she‘s two months old

I have had babies to all kinds of crazy while hatching
A few pip outside the air cell under the egg and didn’t notice till I went to check the egg
A few have bruised the egg and needed safety holes and full assists
One last batch was never able to get his beak near the shell and his little head and beak were tucked into his tummy and he passed and many do a perfect internal pip then external and hatch
If you see good veins that’s a great sign
I had one moving that morning then that evening the veins were already going away and that was my baby with his head tucked into his tummy
The veins start to pull pretty fast when the baby has died

Each baby is it’s own
Check the egg for bruising
Also check under for pip
Has the air cell dropped down really far on one side ?
That’s usually the sign of it’s about to start
