I was at the funeral for my daughters best friends dad yesterday. He died of a heart attack at the age of 46. He left behind a completely grief stricken wife (who works two jobs), and two teenage boys. He was the house cleaner, the grocery shopper and the cook of the family.
One of the boys(he's 16) has decided to take over the household jobs, including cooking. I'm going to be helping him learn to shop, budget and plan meals. I want to put together some simple (3 or 4 ingredient) crockpot recipes for him, and I would like them to have some sort of variety - not all cream of mushroom soup. I think the one that was recently posted for cranbberry chicken is a good exaple of something simple that will covert to crockpot easily.
I know there are many recipes on the web, but I was hoping for some recomendations for tried and true from you guys.
I only use my crockpot for beans
So if you have some great chicken, pork, or beef, or pasta(?) crockpot recipes please share here.
Thanks,
katy
