we have 5 baby chicks that are 3 weeks old.. 2 EE and 3 sizzles! Well it always seemed like one was left out of the huddle so we picked up one today at the feed store to try an stop that from happening so they all have a buddy! Well this is my first rodeo and i guess the new baby is a day old an sell lady told me after i bought to not put with the other yet.. Eeekkk so they are now separated but the poor lil chickie wont stop peeping like crazy!! The sizzles are still pretty tiny. I just dont know what to do???? Help

They'll be fine. You could have just left them as they were. Whenever I peak into the brooder, it seems like I always have one or two chicks that are off by themselves, especially if its nice and warm and they don't need to make a cuddle puddle. Your new EE will probably take a little while to acclimate to being moved into a new brooder with a new flock. I would put the new chick in with the others :)

Ok yayyy!! We had a friend that scared me as she said they will go into twos an one will be picked on :/ the brooder light is set further away for the three week olds will she keep warm enough with them?

Put her in there, she'll be fine. I'd keep an eye on them just to make sure the bigger chicks don't pick on (or run her over). I don't have a problem mixing chicks of different ages in my brooder. But, my brooder is BIG. The lamp doesn't move, the chicks just move away from it. But, I think she'd huddle with the others and the temp shouldn't be a problem. If she's unhappy, she'll just keep on peeping. I bet she'll quiet down when you put her with the other chicks :)

The biggest challenge you have is that you are adding one chick to a group that is already at the "setting the pecking order" stage. You will need to keep a close eye on the one to make sure no one is picking on her. There will be pecking of course and a peck here and a peck there would not make me remove a chick. Persistent pecking or pecking that causes injury would make me remove it.
I would suggest that you get 2 additional chicks so the one is not singled out by the older ones. The pecking would be spread among the 3 add ins instead of one taking all the heat.

Not sure you will have room in your adult set up for them all if you do end up adding more. Bummer is that once the chick leaves the store they wont take it back so you are now in a stuck position of trying to integrate tiny chick in with big chicks.
