I don't have any panty hose... I do have my little one's diapers... would that work to cut a hole out for her tail? Or should I use my husbands truck and go buy stuff .... we have a shopko, what should I get?

If you don't have panty hose, how about a pair of baby tights? Just about any material with some nice stretch to it should work. I think baby tight would work wonderful cut holes for legs and tail, then use the tight legs to make it more secure. Picture in my head of a hen with frilly butt tights as the compression bandage, LOL. OR Duct tape to secure the material not on her body or feathers, the adhesive could tear the skin and pull out feathers. (Don't ask how I know that, Digger is still in process of forgivng me)

Good idea. I'm not real convinced that the pressure diaper will work better than just pushing it back in and applying honey each time, but it's hard to know. She needs to poop and maybe lay an egg until her egg laying shuts down from the light deprivation, so it seems like you might be having to take it off in the daytime, and just use it at night.

I'd just give her some time alone in a clean, quiet place in case she has other eggs she needs to expel. FYI, the last one I had was a duck and it took two weeks of her living in my bathroom to pass two more eggs and heal.
