Sorry that I was off the computer for awhile. Hopefully she will pass the egg. This is a complication of a prolapse, because they tend to lay an egg every day or two. It takes a day or two for the low light to stop her laying.

How many mg of calcium are in a Tums? 200 ish? I've had the best luck getting them to pass an egg when I give the max, which is about 300mg/kg (300mg per 2.2 pounds). Do like Eggcessive suggested, break the Tums in quarters and give her the maximum dose orally based on how much you think she weighs, then fill your bathroom with steam and see how she does on her own.

Regular strength is 500 mg--extra strength is 750mg. Be careful syringing the water. I'm more apt to put a little bowl in front and dip her beak in it.

Hurray! Yes push it back, and hold it for a bit, then do the compression bandage. Give her a chance to poo first, and get a drink..
