I noticed that one of my wyandottes has yellow crust on her comb. Unfortunately I don't have a pic at the moment. I've searched the forums a little bit and from what I've seen it looks like pox. Is there treatment for pox?

Some of my other chickens, included the roosters, have some small black spots on their combs. Is this the same thing?

Pics can help. Dry pox is on the outside--comb, wattles, face, etc. Wet pox is inside the throat and esophagus, usually seen in yellow spots or patches, causing pain eating or drinking. Here is some info and pictures:

This is terrifying. And I had no idea there was a vaccination to prevent it. I feel so bad for not taking care of this for them. I'm a new chicken mom and that's my only defense. It's my own fault for not doing more research on healthcare. I can't read the articles at this very moment. How can you tell if they get wet pox? I'm so worried my birds are going to be suffering and it's all my fault.:(
