If the upper part of her beak is gone, you need to put her down. It will not grow back and she will never be able to eat. If her eyes are gone, she will never be able to find food. As for the trap, what you need to have is a large, cage type live trap. The best one for predators has a separate compartment in one end to put the bait in that they can not get at. Yes, it is perfectly ok to use her as bait but she is large and you would need that large trap to do so. If you have the smaller type, use a can of canned cat food and wire it to the inside of the trap in the back so it can't be lifted out. Once you catch the raccoon, don't set it free. If you take it less than a couple of miles away, it will return. Wherever you let it go, it will go after someone elses birds. If you can not have someone shoot it in the trap, take it to a pond and drop the whole thing in. In a couple of minutes it will be dead but wait for 5 before removing it. Make sure the trap you have will fit a raccoon. It would have to be at least a foot square at the opening to allow a coon to fit comfortably and larger would be better.
