Help pricing my laying hens

I have never sold any hens before but I want to downsize my flock and sell 6 laying hens who turned 1 year. I purchased from tractor supply April 13, 2021 the breeds are black australorp and blue wyandottes. Also I live in California not sure if that makes a difference? Thanks in advance I was thinking $35 since that’s what I usually see around Facebook? I have put a lot of love and feed ain’t cheap they are very calm and love being handled by me and my baby sisters super sweet girls

5 months to 1.5 years old on laying hens, $20 is the average selling price.

If your market supports a $35 hen, then sell them for that. You can always drop the price or offer a 2fer (say 2 for $60).

I tend to ask between 15 and 20. Usually I take a loss, but if they're over a year old, I kept them because I wanted to keep them
