Not sure if the tendon was in the groove correctly. vet just said damaged. but the cortisone injection did the trick! he's hanging with the other two again and OH so HAPPY to be out of crate! Thanks to you all. I really am so glad I joined this site!:)

My chick has the same thing with her from 1week and on and off until about 2 months with one foot and then both so everyday I would uncurl her toes and it just sort of fixed itself but during that period of time she never grew and she is now 6 months old and only about the size of a mug

he is still limping. we are on day 4. tried the hock cushion yesterday to try to keep her elbow from turning inward. I'm wondering if it's broken? although we didn't feel anything unusual really. he is still created but not a happy camper. I read that someone kept their chicken confined for up to two weeks before their leg healed. I would feel terrible to wait that long and have something wrong with him that required vet care. i also wanted to ask about roost height. I was wondering if he injured his leg flying down from roost. we have it tiered with three roosts with the highest about 5 ft. is that too high?

I had the same thing until she would tip over which broke my heart bc she was only 1-2 weeks old and it was on and off for about a month or two and she is fortunately all better

GOOD LUCk
