Help! Rescue Rooster flying away!

If you do not have hens penned with him and neighbors have free range hens no matter what you do he is going to be at the neighbors where the hens are.
He will never stay home unpenned unless home has more to offer then elsewhere.
Why did the chicken cross the road?

I would give him a hen so he will calm down a bit........ he was probably going to the neighbor's side to get it on with their hens. :p
This is a good idea, I just took in a 7 week old hen from a friend who is convinced it is a rooster, she'd be able to keep him company. I wasn't sure if throwing them in a pen together would be smart.

I agree with the other posts. Just a suggestion, I would keep him penned up for awhile too. Get him used to some treats. They all love treats especially meal worms. Give a few now and then in his area. Every evening I give my birds treats and if they are out they will go back into their pens for some treats. The best way to a man's heart is through his stomach and the same applies to most animals.

The best way is a little lower then his stomach and that's true with roosters too.
Put him with your big hens. He isn't too small to be with standard size hens.
I would not put him with a 7 week old pullet. She isn't as mature as him and it won't be pretty for her.
