Yesterday I received a pair of Tufted Roman goslings from Metzer Farms. Today the male is sick, trying to stand but his legs are stiff but he was healthy yesterday! =(

He's only 2-3 days old.
Access to heat, or shade and had friends. I fed them grass, seeds, and other treats to start with.

My last geese did great on everything Ifed and gave them
Thank you for the help!

The gosling came very very healthy tho, so I don't the it would be from Metzer

There is a possibility they could help you deal with the problem. Not saying they did anything wrong. But Mr. Metzer is good with his customers and doesn't mind when they call with questions. I know because I use that farm. :))))) just saying the phone call may lead you in the right direction. It could be simple. Or it could be neurological.

OK thank you!!!

When feeding anything other than crumble they need grit, they cannot process their food with out it. But please call Metzers as was mentioned.. Hope the gosling perks up.

some good poultry vitamins with electrolytes in the water may help give the little one a boost too. what kind of seeds? any crumble?

Well the little goose died :hit poor thing. Too quickly.
had been feeding millet, grass, dandelion, plantain, clover, smashed oats and crushed fish with an occasional boiled egg.

Well I guess I still need advice for the rest of the geese, this is my first year with them by the way.

If you just got them Metzers will probably replace it so your little one can have a friend they really do need another to thrive. Very sorry. Get in touch with them asap
