Well, I was eating chicken wings for dinner and my rooster jumps on my table and eats a piece, we left the door open and he got in. Right now i went to check on him, and he was breathing heavily... i gave him water but he's still doing it.

Unless he got a bone the meat wont hurt them, I give my hens and roo's meat, yes even chicken, al the time

What's wrong?
I always let my chickens pick the bones clean when I have chicken or turkey.
Chickens are omnivores just like you.
He's probably breathing hard from you chasing him.

Oh thank god it won't, and i didn't really chase him, he sleeps in my garage because of the raccoons that live across the street and he doesn't run away from us ever since we got him. He actually comes up to us. But i'm not sure why he's breathing like that.

Could the piece he swallowed have been too large? I have read that chickens can get sour crop from a large piece of meat stuck in the crop, but chicken wings don't have very much on them.

It takes a few days to get the sour crop to develop. Its only just ate the meat.

do you think he might have been breathing hard before, but its only now you noticed it?

He could have a respiratory infection. Are you other chickens OK? Check them all over.
