Help! Rooster has a throat problem!

He's sleeping right now, I'll have to feel it in a bit, I don't want to disturb him. When he's asleep, his wheezing is very light or not at all. He hasn't been eating much so I imagine there isn't much there. He does poop out what goes in (pomegranate seeds make that easy to track!) but his poop is green and with undigested bits. I'm assuming the green is from bile and him not eating enough. The significant other said he was drinking on his own this morning but I've only seen him drink once. He also is sneezing on occasion.

I have a question about chickens and antibiotics.

1. Do the antibiotics make digestion less (micro flora die off)?
2. Do you expect to see more loose stools when on antibiotics?

And most importantly... Does it get worse before it gets better? This is Day 2, I heard it takes 3 days to know if an antibiotic will work. I'm hoping this is the day it gets worse and tomorrow will be better :(

I don't know in chickens about the micro flora issue. They are pretty straight forward on digestion. Prozyme is a pro biotic I have used it.
I would be worried he is not getting enough to eat. He cannot survive without food. The Exact Formula while tubing this is
very good for him. Can you weigh him? and see how much weight he is losing each day?

I might take him back to the vet tomorrow. They can weigh him. I can't see his trachea and esophagus they're so far back and I'm afraid the antibiotic has been going down the wrong pipe. I'm assuming they wouldn't cough if that happens. He ate a meatball just now. Not his regular diet, but protein and fat.

I just said goodnight to him. He's really having laboured breathing. I'm exhausted but so worried he won't be here in the morning. Ugh. Here's hoping for another dawn.

Oh he's having a rough night. He's gasping and hardly getting any air. The vet has a prescription of Baytril ready for him but he seemed better this afternoon so I didn't pick it up. I hope I'm not too late. The bedroom he's in is super warm and humid with a heater and vaporizer. A few more hours until the vet is open. Just wish it wasn't such a long drive.

When does one know to euthanize a chicken? Dogs I have a better grasp on. He can't suffer another night like tonight. Or any more hours of this. 3 more until vets open. Oh no oh no.
