I hatched 14 chicks in April and I’m wanting to know what gender they are. They’re 5 weeks old and majority are fully feathered.
They glitched and the letters are out of order for some reason so sorry about that! Plus the pictures aren’t the best, they were hard to keep still! :wee

Chick C (EE) looks male to me (Red comb is the main thing I notice, but there are also some feathers in the wings & shoulder that look extra-red compared to the other feathers. That feature is usually found in males but not females.)

Chick B (Dark Brahma) looks male to me (Maybe-red comb, definitely red wattles, breast has a lot of black so I think that's the male color pattern for this breed.)

Chick D (Dark Brahma) I think is probably male as well (red wattles, feather coloring probably right for a male.)

Chick E (Dark Brahma), Chick G (Dark Brahma) and Chick J (Dark Brahma) I'm not sure about. The comb doesn't look big or red, but I feel like the overall coloring looks "male" for that breed.

Chick F (Dark Brahma) and chick K (Dark Brahma) are probably pullets. I'm fairly sure they are showing a color/pattern that is only found in females of that breed.

The other 4 look to me like they are likely to be pullets, but I'm not certain. I would probably check back in a few weeks, in hopes that they will be more clear then.

I’ll make sure to keep an eye on the confusing ones over the next few weeks. Thank you for the help!

Thanks for the update! Mine are similar breeds and 5 weeks and I'm trying to figure it out now.
Depending on the breed the coloring really helps. Dark brahma girls have a consistent pattern while the boys have spots of white or black around their shoulders and chest.
I also noticed that a lot of my girls are pretty shy and calm while the boys are more rowdy and tend to run around the coop .
I can try to help you figure yours out if you have pictures. There’s also lots of helpful people on here.
