Help! Short of breath, feel so bad for her!

My friend is getting safeguard from the feed store now, going to add it to her water. Will update. She has always been a fluffy, easy to handle loner. She looked comfortable when I left, if it is gape how fast do they usually improve?

I'm not sure how long it takes to get rid of the worms. Some have better luck than others. Do your research about their life cycle. I think their larva can live for some time in earthworms and snails and maybe the coop/range area continues to be infested even after the worms are eliminated from the chickens. The coop/range area may need to be moved.

Hi all. Unfortunately we lost Ellen the day before I got back.

We had her on a "Zene" wormer, but I now think it was a respiratory issue. Our neighbor (15 birds) had 4 with similar symptoms and antibiotics worked.

I'm almost done worming the flock, and keeping my eye on our other three. No symptoms so far.

Hopefully the video and discussion might help others with similar symptoms

I think a collection of videos and confirmed diagnoses would be an awesome tool on the forum...
