HELP!!! Sick bird...don't know what is wrong

Im a little nervous about making her vomit myself...any other ways to get rid of it?? we ghave never had a sour crop before...
I would hesitate to help empty a crop, too. The hen I had with sour crop was going downhill fast, and I tried it. I think I did it right, she didn't seem to aspirate any of it, and the crop went emptied well. She drank lots of water afterward, too, and almost seemed like she really felt better having all that icky liquid out of her. But then she died overnight anyway. So I don't know if I did it wrong and contributed to her demise, or if she was really just that far gone to begin with, but I don't think I'd want to try it again if I have another chicken with the same problem. Still, a lot of people say emptying the crop helps a great deal. Here are some links on sour crop:

well it is definitely sour crop. we didn't smell anything when we opened her beak but we turned her upside down and massaged her crop and a lot of liquid came out and a little bit of food. her crop is pretty much down to normal and she pooped out a yellow liquid afterwards. So we have her with water and ACV right now..can we give her any type of food for now? I read we could give food as logn as it wasn't solid?

ACV = apple cider vinegar? I'm not sure that's a good idea, sour crop is usually a fungal overgrowth, which creates an acidic environment. Giving her more acid is probably not the best thing to do. You might offer her yogurt instead.

Having the same problem with one of my bards. It's cold out, so I'm going to gently wash her vent area since it's a bit messy. Then I'm dusting her with DE. My State aggie guy said never ever give DE internally. It's like feeding them ground glass. I made my flock oatmeal this am. She did not eat. I'll make her mash. She's 3 years old. I'll keep you informed of progress.

I always put a tsp of Braggs ACV per gallon in their fresh water. I've never had a problem with worms. Their coop is roomy, but nice with 4 heat lamps. If anyone has suggestions for me I would appreciate it. Thank you.

did you have to empty her crop at all? we emptied our girls crop and mostly liquid came out not a lot of food but shortly after she pooped a yellow liquid. but she is still not acting the same so im guessing there is probably still some more in there. but she wouldn't let us empty her crop anymore so in a little we will check again and repeat the process of emptying the crop
