HELP....sick chick very sudden....

I'm sorry I meant that as a question about the size they get to be,, just a curious question because I think I may have 2 bantam EEs and am having a hard time figuring it out

Poo possibly brown and runny...but not sure who is pooping that ha ha. Eating and drinking usually normal but right now doens't care even much for treats. pecket at them a little and gave up.

Im not quite sure how big they get to be, Ive never had bantam ee's before. I would imagine they might be a little bigger than silkie? One thing I do know, the one that survived is a little piggy!!!

I love my other bantams and I have 2 rooster EE's that are so much smaller than the hen EEs

Doesn't look like it. The chickes were never exposed to soil as of yet. They live in a nice warm bin too with just pine shavings.

ALSO looks like there was a bit of saliva on its beak. Now it is gone...

I'm wondering if it may be coccidiosis you are dealing with..

I was thinking the same thing. To the OP are you using a medicated feed? It helps prevent cocci. I love to stay as organic as possible, but I do use the medicated feed for my chicks for the first 6 to 8 weeks. If the label doesn't say medicated then run to a farm supply store and change their feed. For the sick one it will need other meds which you can find that info from other posts(Ive never had to deal with so no advice on that)

They can pick it up thru other chickens as well. If they came in contact with other chickens before they got to you they could carry the virus with them until now
