Help Sick Peacock

If the peahen has a bacterial infection that is sensitive to Tylan, Tylan 50 can be used, but the correct dose should be used. The Tylan 50 dose for a peahen is 0.4 ml per pound of bodyweight orally 3 times a day.

If the bacteria is not sensitive to Tylan you could try Baytril (enrofloxacin), which you can buy without a prescription.

The Baytril I use is the 10% (100 mg/ml) and the dose I use is 0.05 ml per pound of bodyweight twice a day orally.

Welcome to BYC!

Can you post some pictures of your peacock? What antibiotics have you tried?
