Help! Sick Puppy, *UPDATE* He is Now Fine! ~pg 1

Has he been eating anything? He could have a stomach blockage which means he needs to be seen by a vet ASAP

He really need to go to the vet then.

If you can not afford if you need to find him a new home or surrender him to a place that can afford to take care if him.

Getting random shots from the feed store is not going to help anything if the pup is already sick.
 
The pup needs to see a vet now. If he has a blockage you can not help him. Call around to some vets and see if you can work out a payment plan. Call the animal shelter they may know of vet that would be willing to work with you. But please get the puppy to a vet asap.
 
If you do surrender him (which is not a bad idea), I personally would go through either a low cost vet who does adoption work and understands when people are in a tough economic spot, or through a private rescue. These two options often will have more medical and financial resources than a local animal shelter. Not always, but even here in the city with a large shelter, that is how it is. He is a young and small dog of a popular mix who would most likely be adopted quickly.
 
Well I dunno if this will help you with our situation or not, but try some cooked white rice with some hamburger. When I was growing up and had a dog the was sick, this is what we always fed them. It's easy on the stomache so they are less likely to vomit it up, plus it will help keep his strength up. We currently don't have any dogs right now (though I would love one) because I knew I wouldn't be able to afford a vet bill at this point in time for a dog. Someday....
