HELP!!! Small air cell day 18

Thank you I'm having all sorts of issues now!! I'm in a brinsea which has held temp steady the whole time and now were on day 17 it's spiked to 38C! I'm worried it'll kill them?

Also I've just candled and some of them are so big they're actually touching the air cell with what looks like their bottom half. I'm hoping that wont make them pip early :-S

I go to the incubator cheep cheep cheeping. Tap on it, and stare at the eggs. They don`t do anything, but it doesn`t stop me.

They are doing nothing. Just lying there as eggs are prone to do. If anything happens, I will be on here I promise.

For reference, here is one of mine at day 17. I'm incubating some in my Genesis Hovabator and some under hens. The air cell size matches in both groups.


You can lightly sand the shell to speed up evaporation if the air cell is too small or add some wax to slow down evaporation if the cell is too big. This would need to be done no later than day 15 to make a difference.

I was curious too, I am having the same issue with small air cells, but only in some eggs
