Help! snake in the drain

I'm not a plumber, but I've watched one, on tv.....Where was he using the snake? Can he remove a sink or toilet, to get to it? Is there an outside cleanout, where he can get access to it? Can he uncover a section of exterior pipe, where he knows it is, break the pipe, remove the snake, and install a cleanout, in that location?

We did install a new cleanout. Why not when the basement is tore up. He already started hauling out the concrete. That won't be a waste either. We are moving the pond this year so any extra fill will help. No procrastination permitted, I will throw him in the hole. There's a frontpage story for you "HUSBAND DIGS OWN GRAVE IN BASEMENT". The silkie girls took it in stride.
