Help something is wrong with my chick

    I noticed my chick has something stringy looking hanging from it's buttt its drie up and hard I tried pulling it but it's still connected when I pulled it would of pulled out more of whatever it is but was scared to pull it out and hurt the hen any suggestions please [​IMG]
