Help! Speckled Sussex won't lay

Thank you all that have answered my questions. I do belive I am doing what I can and I guess I should have gotten different hens. In a few months my cinnamon Queens will be laying so maybe they'll be the better choice.

Well, here they are anyway. I just now saw how to post pictures. They are, at least, good looking hens! Lol

They are. I have then in the same place as 4 cinnamon queens that are only 3 months old. They didn't care for them much at first but now thru sleep next to each other

Hi, I'm new to backyard chickens. I moved to the country a year ago and decided to raise chickens for the eggs and to give my boys something productive to do. I have 3 speckled Sussex that are around 9 or 10 months. I got them when they just started laying well and they did lay about 2-3 eggs every other day. However, about 2 weeks ago, they have not laid one egg. I noticed they started slowing down not long after I got them and put them in their new home. I feed them 22% layer feed and I give them some meal worms from time to time and even given the oyster shells. I've bought fake eggs and placed in their nest about 3 days ago. They all look very good, high energy and very healthy. I let them out during the day to forage. They've never ran out of water. Please help, I'm not sure what to do.
I logged on today to see if I could find an answer to why my speckled sussex, 1 yr. old, has not laid an egg for several weeks. Otherwise healthy and happy! No molting. I guess it sounds like they are just not a great laying breed? Bummer.

They do take breaks after a bit of sporadic laying, so not the best choice for eggs unfortunately.

My SS only lays about 3-4 eggs a week. She's so pretty and friendly, though, that she's still my favorite bird in the flock, so she's earned a permanent place here. Luckily for her, since I live alone and have 8 chickens, egg production isn't my #1 criteria for making keep/cull decisions!
