It's frustrating because the only problem I had with the new upgrade was that I didn't get the drop down tool bar on the Forum tab. Suddenly on Tuesday, I'm no longer getting any of my messages.

I don't know if it made a difference but the first time I went under subscriptions and made changes I didn't mash hte update subscriptions button near the top and it didn't work. Later I tried again and saw that button so I did it and logged out and in and my subs started back....that was before the Tues fix and they never stopped coming

THANK YOU sooo much for this tip. After I read your post I went to my subscriptions & pushed the "update subscriptions" button. This morning I found email notification for 5 of the threads I haven't seen in WEEKS~! Thank you again for sharing.

Coopa - I so appreciate your concern over this problem. It probably doesn't seem like much to "normal" people but being out of the loop in the "chicken biz" is so frustrating. Thanks for caring :)

Yay! I'm glad it helped. It was lonely not getting subs....I was afraid I would miss something! LOL

Ok, well I got an e-mail to my other e-mail account to verify the e-mail address. Then I got a subscription notice on one of my threads. I have changed the e-mail address back and logged off and logged back in as is exactly what I did just a minute ago. I changed my e-mail back to my hotmail account, so lets see if I get anything.

FYI:

If you have a hotmail account and are not getting your e-mails, try what I did.

Go to the far top right of your hotmail screen and click the Options tab. This will drop down to another tab then click more options.

Under the title Managing Your Account is a link to click for Account details (password, aliases, time zone), click it.

Then click Your e-mail addresses. You can add an alias e-mail address here for your BYC messages. It will come right into your regular hotmail account that you already sign into, no need to remember new passwords.

Don't forget to change your e-mail address here at BYC by clicking your user name and then clicking edit account details.

Yup, changing email address is what worked for me. And I was not using a free web based email address. I have a domain and several websites that I pay money for. My email with that domain has always been reliable and trouble free. I have a lot of control over it compared to a free email address. But something about it that is beyond my control stopped the BYC email before it even had a chance to go to spam folders or anything.
I would not have believed changing from that email address would fix the problem....except it did. woohooo!
