please help! I was hanging out with my girls today and I noticed one of my hens had 2 different eye colors. One is dark brown the other is yellowish-gold. I also noticed her eyes are sunken and weird looking. Both of them. Her eyes have always looked funky after previous eye injuries (that were healed) from over a year ago. Think her eyes are just normally weird looking/sunken? And why are her eye colors different? I feel like I should’ve noticed this… please help in any way you can!

No other symptoms. She’s acting completely normal laying eating drinking etc I’m just concerned about her eyes..
So at the least it could be an irritate eye. At the worst, it could be ocular Mereks. Not nearly as bad as the neurological mereks, but will eventually lead to blindness. Really hard to deduce from the pics, but here is an article for you to browse and read some up for yourself.

Doesn’t it spread though? Her eyes have always looked funky but they look worse now. It’s been Months since her eyes first looked odd. How can I treat her? I don’t think she’s blind she seems to know where she’s going or what she’s doing.

What type of injury did she suffer?

The right eye looks a bit mishappen. Could be from previous trauma or perhaps it's an indication of Ocular Marek's, hard to know.
There's no cure for Marek's, so if she's acting normal, eating/drinking/active, then I'd just keep watch on her.

Eyes a different color - again, could be due to the injury she suffered, disease like Marek's or even genetic.

This mis-shaped pupil is what first got my attention.

@Avadrawzstuff is this how her eye appears, or is it distorted from the picture?

The right eye (irregular shape of pupil, and faded color) looks similar to pictures of ocular Mareks, but the left eye looks very red and irritated. Only testing or a necropsy after death would confirm Mareks. How is your coop ventliation? Is there an ammonia odor from the droppings? Ammonia fumes can cause blindness. Hard to know why the eye is so red, but injury or fumes could be the problem. I would probably use some Terramycin or triple antibiotic ointment in the eye a couple of times daily for awhile. Have you seen any respiratory disease symptoms in your flock, or any other possible signs of Mareks disease?
