HELP!!! Swollen chicken eye about to burst?

Any updates? Where are you located? Our vet friend from CT said that the cases of eyeworms that she is seeing usually present initially as if they are just infections, but they do not clear. Hope your rooster is okay.

Looking at the video, his eye looks healthy, but the tissue around the eye and eyelid seem to be the problem for sure... or, is his eyeball just as bad? Is his eyeball cloudy or red? or is it just the tissue around the eye?
another thing that crosses my mind as well, is if it was just blood that came out when lanced... I'm almost inclined to think your chicken might be developing cancer in that area... ive heard of some fowl birds developing cancerous tumors on the face... from what I've heard though this is very rare, but this is just a thought.. How old is he? do you have ay other roosters? or just him?

I’m in Ohio. He is not any better. We are starting to think about culling him. 😪

His eyeball looks healthy. It was so much blood! It was pouring out on to the floor, coming out of his mouth and his nose. We’ve also found blood clots and lots of mucus in his mouth. I don’t have any idea what this is and we are starting to think about culling him. He is a Bresse and a little less than 1.5 years old. We have several other roosters, and his brother that are all fine.

I'm in ohio too... are you within driving distance of Ohio state columbus? They have a wonderful emergency veterinary office there.. phone number is (614) 292-3551 they could offer help... but it might be pricey...

Honestly, with as difficult as it is... I would make the hard decision to cull... That sounds awful and painful for him... Its very clear you care about him, but it might be best to cull if you aren't able to contact a vet... :C Im praying for yall.
