Help The Mink is back

A mink can get throw a crack 1/2 inch sometimes smaller. Happened to a friends chicken house.. I know that i no longer like the mink. It has killed 6 chickens and my duck. Everyone has ""the list"" well the mink moved to #1 on mine!

Live trap will be difficult at best. I used to catch them in my muskrat traps. Yes, they are the EVIL leg hold traps. But very effective if set properly. Just make sure ALL of your animals are locked up. You don't want any curious pets in them. The damage is severe and permanent.

Used a conibear (muskrat trap) with some tuna for bait, hoping to catch the mink that raided our hen house but, caught a SKUNK

If a snake can get in then a mink can too or at least a weasel which is a smaller cousin. If you want a mink for a pet then you've had no experience with a mink--they are downright nasty critters. Get yourself a ferret.

We just put out a still trap in front of our bitty house and put a thing up so they cant get out and get on it! He hasnt been around in a few days. But i hope he dont come back. He hit once before killing 3 or 4 chickens then this time he got 2 bittys and my full grown duck.. But if i catch him.. I will have a slipper!! lol

They sometimes work a circuit so he may come back--probably just when you've decided that he won't.

Prophet is right. Conibears are the best traps for mink. Find out where he enters and place one there.
