I'm very concerned about Mareks disease. I haven't been near anywhere flocks recently, though I'm guessing they can get it from wild birds as well? I wish I knew what was going on, I wish I knew how to make a decision.

You have done everything. You followed the advice of our resident experts. I'm not sure there's anything else that can be done.

Very good point. But heart failure is usually quick in chickens, isnt it? Like a sudden fatal heart attack?

I am so sorry things are going this route. It did seem like she railled a few times. I wish someone with more information would come on and have the answers. Just remember you have done all you can and have been at her side through this.

What I'm thinking (and I'm not an expert whatsoever) is that maybe she did ingest some sort of toxin and her body is trying to flush it out. When humans get a fever, diarrhea, throw up, etc it's our bodies trying to flush things out. It sounds as if she has some of these symptoms-ish but I'm just relating to what I know about humans.
