Help!! Too many male ducks :(

I'm not sure but I think with ducks it's the opposite of chickens and the males are actually more desirable cause the males are the quiet ones unlike chickens :) and lots of people keep ducks as pets now so I don't think you'd have a problem rehoming them!

Lots of people get just males as pets.

You could always just rehome the female and keep the males as pets too. Unless of course you wanted eggs in which case you'd have to get more females.

Have you been to the fruityard? If not, it’s an orchard/restaurant in Modesto that people drop off unwanted ducks, chickens, and geese. They never eat them, cause I saw a bird I dropped off two years ago. They have a large population of mallards, (That’s where I got my eggs) with plenty of both males and females.

Oh and that have an acre large grassy area with a huge pond. It’s well maintained, and the birds get restaurant scraps, bugs, grass and whatever people come and feed them with.

That is so neat. I have never heard of the place. Were is it? NOT that I am going to get rid of my ducks, but just thought that that is cool.

Also my opinion would be to get more females unless you can not have them. Can you have more females?

It’s in Modesto CA.

Please don't dump your ducklings off anywhere or adult ducks so sad when people do that.

I hope getting more females is you best decision. :fl

People mainly drop them off because they can’t keep them. I dropped mine off because the others wouldn’t stop picking on her no matter what I did.
