Help! Too much Corid?

My 6-8 week old chicks got all puffy and I saw some sign of blood in poop. So I gave them some Corid. Now, several days later, they are still puffy and unwell. No blood in poop at all, but clearly failing. Could I have ODd them on Corid? Is something else going on? Suggestions?

Have they been drinking enough of the treated water? Maybe they are not drinking well enough? The usual dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days.

I gave them the recommended dosage 2T/gallon) after the first day or two. But I direct dosed them as well (a couple drops each). And I put it in their mediated feed. I stared with a slightly higher dose for the first couple days.

It’s in their feed (I add medicated water to their medicated feed) and water and I direct doses. Their poo is definitely not bloody but they’re not much better...

You didn't OD them, it would be really hard to do that. If you are not sure that they are drinking well on their own then I would give them some of the medicated water several times a day orally. (Make sure it's the only water they have access to).
The correct dosing for the oral drench, in addition to their medicated water, is here, you can do for up to three days. If you only did that once I would be inclined to do this also, for three days:

Some strains are more virulent than others, can do more damage, more quickly, than others. If you get the meds in them and they continue to deteriorate you may need to switch to a sulfa antibiotic or toltrazuril. Corid has always been effective for me, but some strains may be becoming resistant to it.

But what I don’t understand is why their poop is no longer showing symptoms (blood). Could it be something else?

It could be residual damage from the coccidia, it may take more time for them to recover and for the gut to heal. It's really hard to say what is going on inside. Again, if they are getting worse, you may need one of the other meds. You can give probiotics, just don't give anything with vitamins in it until the Corid treatment is complete.

They’re not very interested in eating or drinking.
