HELP! Trampled chick potentially dying!

Because the longer she goes without fluids, the more likely she is to get dehydrated and die. It's very important to try to get her to drink something, even if it's just water.

(I'm not trying to start an argument I'm just telling you what happened) I have been giving her water on and off for 12 hours at least.

Also, I gave her Gatorade. She either loves it so much she can't hold still, or she hates it so much that she try's to get away from me XD. Regardless, it seems to be making some improvement pretty must instantly. She seems more active, and she was trying to preen herself again. She's still not opening her eyes for more than a second. I think that the trampling may have given her head trama, or a headache, or something. So like, when we have a headache or get dizzy, we want to keep our eyes closed. She kinda drinks herself now, but she mostly needs help. When I pick her up she sometimes bends her head down to try to drink, and she'll lift her head a little when she's done to swallow. But she can't do it by herself yet.

Well hopefully, she will get her strength built up and can start drinking on her own. Just keep offering her the fluids or electrolytes as often as you can.

Update: she still won't open her eyes, or eat, or poop. She drinks a little with help. I haven't tried any of the remedies above yet, but I plan to try one tonight. I'll let you know if it works.

Question: the chick is a day old at the most, how much of the Gatorade and/or water-sugar-salt recipe can I give her? Can I give her both in a day?

This statement was a little confusing. It seemed to me like you hadn't tried to give her anything. I'm glad she's been getting some fluids.

I would put a little electrolite in water, and also wet its food. Maybe try it on a little bit of bread.

update:
It's not looking as good as it did earlier. She's laying down, in a more weird position, she doesn't chirp at me (and she wouldn't stop chirping a few hours ago), her breathing seems different; like she may be getting weaker. I don't know if she's just tired (I mean, if you got hatched out of an incubator then shipped in a box to some faraway place with several other chicks trampling you all the way there, then a few hours later moved to a compleatly different home without another chick sight, you'd be tired too) or dying.

What else should I do? Should I try to make her eat? If so, what do I feed her and how do I force her?

What's the difference between a chick laying down to rest, and a chick laying down to die?

Out of about 300 chicks that came in the same shipment she's the ONLY one who doesn't act right
When her box was first opened we thought she was dead, then throughout the day she'd slowly get better, now she's getting worse

Should I lower the temperature or give her some shade?

I’m really sorry this is happening and she’s in my prayer and I hope she pulls through. Unfortunately all you can really do is give her nutridrench straight and some scrambled egg for high protein right now. I would keep her temp around 90 with a stuffed animal for her to snuggle up to if she’s alone. I would be hesitant to keep forcing her to eat/drink since they can be prone to choke but you can place some drops on her beak to force her to swallow but I’m not quite sure how you would make her eat.. I’ve tried with some sick hens and they would never eat it..

How is she?
Is she is not able to move out from under the lamp, then you need to make sure she is not overheating.
Try to get fluids into her first. If she is not responsive, I would not attempt food right now, just drop water or electrolytes beside her beak to see if she will take it in.

We really cannot force chicks to drink, other than to help dip their beaks into water for a second, and letting them drink on their own. We can give a drop or two of NtriDrench and let them swallow it. It sounds like you are doing what you can. She may not recover or she may not be a strong chick.

I cannot imagine have 300 chicks at once since they sometimes have pasty butt for the first week. That would be a lot of vents to check, whew.

Thank you all for your help and support. I went down to give her another drink about 4min ago and she was dead.

She may have had coccidios (if it's possible for less than one week old chick to get it). If so, can the rest of my flock get it? They had no contact whatsoever with her. The closet thing was where we kept her she was a few feet away from their food bags, and after touching her I touched the others chickens fence.

Haha. Sorry, I worded that weird. I work in a farm store and we sell chicks. The STORE had about 300 chicks . That's where I got her.
