HELP! Twin duck egg no pip day 28

No, sorry I did not calibrate my thermometer? Was I meant to do that? What happens if I don’t?
You need to do that with every incubator to make sure the temperature is correct, lower temps mean late hatches, and your egg looks younger than 29 days, maybe 22. Your first day of incubating is 24 hours after you set the eggs.
Twin embyos rarely make it very far and if it hatches, I've never heard of both surviving. One may survive for a day or two but they're usually pretty stunted.
What type of incubator? Does it have a fan?

If it is for sure twins
Yoy will really have to watch fir bruising outside the air cell
Baby 2 won’t get to it
I missed my bruise and I’m still kicking myself for that
If you do see a bruise outside the air cell could even be under the egg
Then make a tiny pin hole in the middle
Nothing to big
I do the size of a pin no bigger then. Sharpened pencil end
We don’t want a rush of air in just enough so they don’t suffocate
Then you wait 24 hours to start making it bigger

Thank goodness! I was stressed out that it was too late!!! Thank you so much ❤️
You’re welcome
Don’t stress
Honestly if your machine is out and the temp is slightly down it can cause delays in hatching
But also I never myself go by the book of lockdown day 25 hatch day 28 that’s an approximate and most likely but not always
I have had them hatch from day 25-29 and one they was under mom duck was day 30
I no longer stress
I watch for the shadowing , the air cell drop and the egg rocking
Those are signs the hatch should start in a day or two
Then babies take another 48-72 hours after first internal pip
With twins though it’s different
One will have to make a bruise outside air cell and both may make a bruise depending on what position they were able to move into
They need to be watched much more careful to hatch then a regular baby
Keep us updated and we will help as much as we can

Is this a bruise?? I don’t know if it’s a bruise because when I got the egg it was really dirty? I felt it and it feels just slightly softer? If it is I am ready to poke a safety hole, but it is not at the air sack?
