I have been reading back posts about inpacted crops. Alot of people write about why....but what do you do about it at home? I read about massaging it.....does that help? Is that all you can do? I have a chicken with this problem right now. I think i will lose her by morning so i need to try everything i can tonight. I knew she was acting odd......but i thought it was my first broody. So i first notived her oddness on wed or thurs and today i realized that the only thing consistant about her was a very full crop. I work 9 hours on thurs and fri so i was not able to see if she has been going out to eat, but she always seems to be in the nest box acting like she was sitting on eggs......but no eggs are there. So i want to set up a cage and bring her in. Would it make sense to give her water but no food to keep her from packing it harder?
Thanks
