Can I ask a silly question? What does a moderator do?

In truth, we do all sorts of things, not the least of which is making sure everyone here knows and follows the BYC Rules so that our community is a safe and friendly place for people of all ages to visit. We also work on projects to make BYC extra-fun (like games and contests), help members with problems and requests, help the site owner with ideas/advice on new features, and help to promote the site out in the "real world" in various ways.

Really, though, we're just members like anyone else here. We chat with our friends and play around on the forum, with the addition of a little extra power to take charge of situations as needed.

Well, you all are doing a fantastic job! I said it in the beginning and I will say it again, this is a fabulous website and forum. I have been so extremely impressed by everyone's kindness and willingness to share knowledge and encouragment. Thanks again!
