HELP! Weird growth near roosters vent I am really worried about what it is

The second picture does show that it is not a prolapse. But I have never seen a growth like that. A feather cyst might be a possibility. It kind of has a tubular appearance in the first pictures. Can you press any pus out of the mass? I would wash it with saline, and clean with a disinfectant such as chlorhexidene or povidone iodine.

Thanks. That photo tells us more. I am going to guess one of the hens gave him a nasty peck on the butt and it has become infected. I think he'll be okay after you treat it as @Eggcessive suggested.

A hot compress can help a lot to soften the pus and other dirt. It can also kill a lot of the bacteria in the process. Heat the water to not more than 106F but as close to that as possible without burning his butt. Tissue begins to burn at 108F.

I've actually use hot compresses on myself over the decades and believe me, I have gotten myself some dandy injuries over those years. The hot compresses really deliver a hefty jump start to treating a nasty wound.

And keep those wicked hens away from him until he's all healed.
