Help! What are these chicks?

These two chicks came from our local feedstore. They told me that they came from one of their customers.

One is gray with green legs and white toes. The other is brown and has a cream colored butt and chest with what appears to be some ticking in the feathers coming in Its legs appear brown with some yellow coloring on the toes and underneath.

I've never really seen chicks like that. Maybe a mix.. or black sexlink?

I was suspecting a JG, but Giants don't have brown, unless that's a red heat lamp shining on it. I do think the one in the front on #2 picture could be a Blue JG.

It is quite possible that they are different breeds. The blue one seems to be larger than the brown one but their feathering stage seems to be the same, indicating to me at least that they are about the same age. They just have a 100 watt bulb shining on them.

Thanks... He/she is really cute. I'm hoping its a she.

I never thought about having a show chicken.

Do you think the comb will stay black?

Nope, my JG hen had a blackish comb for her pullet life, then when she was thinking about laying eggs it started to turn red.
