I have a chicken that is acting like a rooster and I had thought that it was a hen. But she is doing the rooster attack dance at her hatch mate who is a serama rooster. She has a very small comb at this stage. She is probably 4mos maybe closer to 5mos.
She is a silkie/ EE mix

The shiny blotchy red coloration over the back, shoulders, and wing bows; long pointy hackle and saddle feathers; and the very prominent comb all scream roo. Sorry.

x2. That bird will never have a huge comb and it probably won't get red. But that's all boy.
