Breed and sex

I was given a free chick with my order. Appox 18 week old freebie, i thought a hen, no comb and more black than white. But my rooster chases her. Can any one tell me, rooster or hen. And breed. I thought barred rock due to color. My speckled sussex rooster is same age. He is mating with other same aged hens. Someone said she is reluctant. IDK. She has no comb to speak of. Very skiddish. Her comb looks v shaped its not a single but very small

She has no comb to speak of. Very skiddish. Her comb looks v shaped its not a single but very small

That is a rose comb. It is not particulary small when compared with other rose combs.

Yes Barred, but not Rock because Rocks have single combs.
Dominiques have the same coloring as a Barred Rock, but Dominiques have rose combs.
I agree with the other posters who suggest that your chicken is a Dominique.
