Help! What is she?

You'll know for sure when she lays an egg.........if it's green or blue, she's an easter egger!

She's absolutely a girl, that color is not seen on males. Boys gotta be flashy to attract attention, hens need to be drab to hide on the nest in the bushes.

that is a very pretty EE why anyone would leave behind or not find her a home is beyond me she would have sold instantly with how pretty she is

Thank you all! I feel very lucky to have her join my family.

One other quick question: She keeps going back to her old coop at night, is there any way to retrain her to stay in my yard? I understand the quarantine issue with adding a new bird to my current flock, but I'm worried she won't make it if she continues to coop up there. Her old coop is literally an open shed, and our neighborhood has a lot of raccoons, some foxes, and a few coyotes, not to mention what people might do if they find her there during realtor showing or whatever. There was this (strange) plastic kennel thing sitting outside so I put her in it to see her reaction, and she absolutely hated it. Too many things to consider with this situation, my brain is fried trying to come up with a solution...

you need to lock her in your coop 24/7 for at least a week she should go back to there after that if not then re coop her for 2 weeks
