I have had her for only a month and she is six months old. She does not act like she is sick. But, she has become broody, and when I lifted her off the nest, I had a look at her underside. It has no feathers! And there are red patches. What does this mean, and what should I do to help her? Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks!

If she's broody, then this is just part of her nesting behavior. Hens will sometimes pluck their own feathers from their bellys so that the eggs are closer to their skin...where the heat is. The feathers will grow back once she stops being broody. The little red patches are caused by her plucking those feathers out. It's nature...she knows what she's doing. And it's amazing! I wouldn't worry. IMO, that's what's happening.
