Help! What kind of worm is this in my chicken's poop?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. Constantly worrying is not helping you. I do understand, I watch mine all the time - I do study my birds and see what normal behavior is for that individual so hopefully I catch something early. Unfortunately, laying hens have reproductive issues - it's not to dismiss the problem, it stinks it really does, but for me, it's something I have come to recognize and accept if I am to keep laying hens, then this is going to be part of it.
Managing parasites is important, ensuring everyone is eating/drinking well, keeping their stress levels relatively low and that housing is fairly clean is often the best thing you can do.

Thanks for the pep talk :) Since it's my first year and I have yet to go through a chicken death I think I'm still green and over anxious. While it will likely never be easy to care for sick chickens and suffer losses, I'm hoping I'll be more seasoned eventually and able to maintain a balance between sanity and offering the best care I can.
