Help, What the heck is this black stuff on the comb?

Help, some one Please. My silky feather footed Roo Mr. Peep has some strange black crust (scab) looking stuff on his comb. Just found it this morning. What could it be?

Sounds like he somehow scratched his comb. My Serama rooster get the same thing when he tries to fight with the Turkeys. As far as uploading your photo sounds like your half way there. Just copy the bottom bar under the photo for the large picture or top for the small photo and paste it to the message screen that you type the message on. Hope that helps.

Yup, looks like he scratched it on something or got scratched

fighting maybe. I put the same thing on my Serama. It didn't seem to make a difference, but it made me feel better.

Yeah that looks like my guys sometimes. When the are re establishing the pecking order.

Thank You all, He has been fighting, he thinks he is the king, His dad Willy and him have been having stare downs and Mr. Peep usually backs off. He has grown so much in the last couple of weeks, and has gotten the girls to submit to him. There might have been a fight. I sure hope so, and not be some scale or bug.

I couldn't tell from the pictures really, but usually I think "fights" first, dry-pox second (then if they're ashy, raised, scabs as in the above link).
